The Traditional Nursery

 The safari themed nursery is by far one of my most requested for a traditional nursery.  This cute little monkey was hand painted above where the crib will be placed.  This focal point is the first thing you see upon entering the room. Then, your eye is drawn upward to hand painted clouds that wisp and fade into the blue ceiling.  Clouds can be painted in many different ways, depending on the your preference.  Here, the clouds were done whimsical and fluffy to better match the trees.

and Silent Auction on Saturday, October 9th.

The Princess Mural

This princess mural is the 3rd and final room
I completed for the 3 sisters. This precious little
girl was an absolute delight and wonderful hostess.
She was always kind enough to bring me water
during my long painting days. For her room,
she requested a princess mural with a princess,
who looks like her, on a horse. I was excited
about painting this mural because when I would
draw as a child, I would always draw horses.
I haven't completed a horse in a long time, but
it all came right back to me.
This is a full sized wall mural that spans the
entire wall.

The Lady Bug Room

This precious lady bug room was the second of the three rooms I
completed recently for the family with three little girls. The vine
climbs the wall and scales up the ceiling with lady bugs perched on leaves
and escaping throughout the room. I can't wait to go back and see and take pictures of
the completed room!

Butterfly Bedroom

This Butterfly bedroom was 1 room of 3 for an
adorable little family. I felt right at home while painting
as I listened to the joyful laughter of these three little girls.

I hand-painted a grass and Zenia border around the room
and accented with bright, girly butterflies. The Zenia flower
was chosen by the home-owner because of special
significance in a picture. I must say that I love the little personal
touches that were requested to make each room more personal to each girl.

The camo room

This cute little camo room was completed for Tyler, the son my dear friend, Linzy. He wanted hunting and fishing, and she wanted something that could look adorable now and grow with him. We decided to go with camo on only half of the wall, to avoid overdoing it, and finished it off with a border in the colors of the bedding. I must say, I am very pleased with how it turned out thanks to her fabulous finishing touches. I love how proud Tyler is of his new room, as he is always showing if off to his friends. The icing on the cake for me was getting to spend time together planning and brainstorming. Painting and spending time with my sweet friend- priceless!!

Contemporary Cross

This painting is resting on my mantel and I love it!! I completed this painting yesterday, and it is by far one of my favorites. I love the bright, bold colors and, of course, the cross. It is a beautiful reminder of my Faith in God and the many blessing he has given me.

I am thankful for the talents that the Lord has given me and hope to use them to share his love.
